Whitby Major Mosquito A Chiefs
The Whitby Major Mosquito A baseball team made me an honorary member of their team. They gave me a jersery. They play at the park by my house on Tuesdays and I wear it to cheer them on. The Coach involves me in the lineup at the end of the game and their post game talks. They let me sit on the bench with them and take swings at their practice net. All the guys are very nice and it makes me feel good that they have included me as part of their team.
When I am allowed to partcipate in physical activities Coach Stewart has said that I could practice with them to keep up my skills for next year.
A Message from the Whitby Chiefs Mosquito A squad team manager:
No doubt about it...Andrew loves baseball. He loves watching it. He loves playing it. But when Andrew became ill, he couldn't play and had to focus on getting better.
So the Whitby Chiefs Mosquito A squad decided to make Andrew an honorary member of the team.
He's been able to attend just about every home game, cheering us on to our best season yet. We wanted to be there for Andrew to help him recover. In the end, Andrew inspired us. He showed us what resilience, perseverance and determination can achieve. Our thoughts are always with Andrew cheering him on to a full recovery.
